15L of fresh West Coast IPA wort to make 20L of fermented beer. Please note this kit does not contain brewing yeast or extra hop additions for dry hopping. West Coast IPA is a beer style best suited to dry hopping, and we have left that up to you to choose. Read below for our recommendations.

Yeast Recommendations
- Mangrove Jack's Mangrove Jacks Beer Yeast US West Coast Ale M44: A clean, neutral yeast that allows the hop character to shine while providing a dry finish.
Dry Hopping
Dry hopping is key for West Coast IPAs as it intensifies the hop aroma, adding layers of citrus, pine, and floral notes without increasing bitterness.
Recommended Dry Hops Day 5
- Hop pellets Cascade 25g: Provides floral, citrus, and grapefruit aromas, a signature characteristic of West Coast IPAs.
- Hop Pellets Amarillo 25g: Delivers pine, resin, and subtle tropical fruit aromas, adding depth and complexity.
Brewing Instructions
- Pour 15L of fresh wort into a clean and sanitised fermenter.
- Add 5L of water to bring the volume to 20L.
- Stir to aerate and pitch the yeast when the starting temperature is at 25°C or below.
- Essential dry hopping – Add chosen dry hops on day 5 of fermentation.
- Ferment until complete within the recommended temperature range.
